It's true. I too learned of religion from my for fathers. My experience with all things science has had an effect on my view of religion. I am somewhat confused about "organized" religion. They, the so-called "organizers" seem to think that collecting money for a secret cause is their right. I beg to differ. We need accountability when it comes to the money. Do we really know where that money. They have powers of speech. That power can be used for bad motives. My instinct tells me not to trust these people.

I like the video game effect analogy. I think that each time we reach a level in life's video game, a new level somehow pops up. That pop up can be a new problem, but it can also represent a new year older. The overall goal is to win the game. Problem is that each person's definition of "winning" varies from person to person. Whoever dies with the most toys wins is shared by many, but not all people. Happiness is sometimes forfeited because our priorities differ and can be out of sync.

I think your definition of the life-force entity is almost correct. The thing that I would like to add is that the life-energy does a "re-form" into something else and that new form may or may not contain all the original elements from the original life-form. Add to that the speed at which it travels may be changed and the direction may be diverted.
